Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School invitations you to celebrate its graduating class on Saturday, May 21, 2016. Outside the authorized academy, a diverse group of voices, starting from the scam blogs that had such a robust effect on not less than Tamanaha and me, to Above the Law and JD Underground, to the tireless unpaid labor of Kyle McEntee, Patrick Lynch, and Derek Tokaz, aka Law School Transparency, discovered their method into the pages of the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, and onto the CBS Evening News.

The objection is to the law school system which: 1) knowingly plunges its college students into untenable levels of debt 2) fails to offer these college students with marketable expertise, and 3) pumps out extra graduates than the market can take up into an industry that can solely pay a choose few (of those lucky enough to find related employment) anything approaching an inexpensive salary.

Ok, some of the particulars on that are made up a wee bit however I am not making this one up. Once we permitted a three credit course and a regulation prof requested why we didn’t label it a four credit course as a result of that means we might get four hours as a substitute of three hours of our 9 hours instructing masses taken care of. Yes, no change within the course, just the credit score hours.

Schools that are probably NOT value an ED application: I would absolutely not apply ED to any of Columbia, the University of Michigan, Emory, or NYU, since you do not appear any more likely to be admitted than when you applied RD, but you do seem extra prone to get shafted on scholarship money if they do admit you (and within the circumstances of Emory and NYU, chances are you’ll be less prone to be admitted anyway).
