With 2011 fast approaching, I’ve been giving some thought to an idea I had earlier this year. I haven’t covered this idea before because, well, there hasn’t been much to say. Those of you who’ve followed my Internet exploits for awhile know that my websites have moved around a bit. And indeed, I had been contemplating another move. I did some prospecting of potential domain names. I even found one I kinda liked. I was thinking that what I’d really like to do would be to move away from a traditional blog-style site. I was even thinking of starting a wiki that would contain all of my photos and various audio bits and videos and anything else. A singular place that would hold all of my stuff and would also allow outside users to expand on whatever was there. An interesting idea, perhaps. But what’s the point? Discotrash started a great new group using Ning called Central California Bloggers. If you’re a blogger/social media producer/enthusiast, come join us! The group is still new and only has a handful of participants. The first order of business is to come up with some graphics for the group. I’m no master when it comes to the visual arts. But I’ve decided to see what I can do. Anyway, as stated above, if this group is of interest to you, please join us! Central California has needed a group like this for awhile, so let’s make it into something good.

Last month, I wrote a food review of local restaurant Louisa’s Place. About a month after posting the review, I received a comment from someone named Kay who must be in management at Louisa’s. In her comment, Kay thanked me for the positive review, and she also said that on my next visit to Louisa’s, I could receive 50% off my check. Nice!
I haven’t been back to Louisa’s yet to take Kay up on her offer, but I will get over there soon. Anyway, who says blogging doesn’t pay?
