Here’s another audio file I found from last year. It’s short and completely unedited. You may need to turn your volume up in order to hear it. I decided to post it today as I’m still sick, and I think it sums up just how I’m feeling today.
Speaking of me being sick, I started taking antibiotics today for the upper respiratory infection. The doctor recommended that I not start on them until tomorrow. But I don’t want to wait.

In yesterday’s post, I mentioned having something all ready to go for today. Well, I can’t find the thing I had planned to post today. So I dug through my hard drive and found an unedited audio file from March/2007. If the date on the original file is correct, it actually predates the first post on this website. This is also one of the first recordings I made with the iRiver/Giant Squid rig.
As an editorial note, I’d like to point out that a lot of things have changed in my life since the recording of this podcast. All of them positive. Furthermore, some editing was done to make the audio flow better.
These are the buildings I refer to in the recording. Back then, they weren’t much more than concrete pilings.

Rain can be a rare thing here in central California. Even during the rainy season, precipitation may occur less frequently than we would like. However, we’ve been getting some rain pretty regularly for the last few days. I decided to take the iRiver and the Giant Squid onto the porch and record some ambient rainfall sounds. You’ll hear a screen door slam, some car noises and lots of raindrops. Enjoy. (The battery died on the iRiver before I came back inside, so that’s why the recording fades out.)
