Being sick over the last few days has put me on a rather strange schedule. I found myself on the couch yesterday morning watching kids shows. In today’s podcast, I talked about those shows.
I couldn’t find any online videos for the first show. Here’s some kind of promo video for the second show:
Today’s podcast is dedicated to Wesley. Earlier today, I learned that he recently passed away. I am shocked and saddened by this news.
Wesley won an award at SXSW for this short film:
See his other videos here and here. Also, here‘s Wesley’s photo blog and here‘s the Facebook group I mentioned in the podcast. Finally, here‘s the song “Hey, Wesley.”
I applied for a radio job over the summer. I didn’t get the job and that’s OK. In today’s podcast, I talked about the application experience and I also included the airchecks I produced as part of my application.
Since 2008, Jen and I have done a “split show” during NaPodPoMo. Here’s part one of this year’s version. To hear part two, check out Jen’s site later today.
Update: You can now get the second part of Split show here.
Some more video footage from 2007. This time, I have some wild chickens that we found in the old village of Arroyo Grande, CA. The chickens live in the park near the creek, downtown. They wander the grounds all day long, doing the things that chickens do. (Some pigeons make special-guest appearances towards the end.)
I’m taking part in this year’s NaPodPoMo. The podcasts I’m creating/involved in will be scattered across a few different sites. There’s a running list of all of my NaPodPoMo ‘casts here if you care to follow along.
For today’s entry, I’m posting a video that was originally recorded on July 7th, 2007. Jen and I attended a wedding ceremony that was held on a boat on the Mississippi River, near Minneapolis/St. Paul. I captured some footage of boats on the river as they passed by. This was recorded with my old Canon camcorder, and I think there was some moisture on the lens. So, the quality’s not the best. Anyway, I’m gonna try and clear out my backlog of videos during NaPodPoMo, so there should be some more as the month continues.
