    Yay! Hyper Nonsense is back!

    Musicians Friend is the online arm of Guitar Center. You knew that, didn’t you, Shawno?

    Seems like these new electronic amps are just crapping out all over the place. Meanwhile, my 1965 Ampeg is humming along just fine. Just needs a few new tubes every decade or so. (Knock on wood.)

    Other than the Line6, sounds like everything else is perking along at PPM HQ. Rock on!

    If I recall correctly, Musicians Friend and Guitar Center merged back in the early 00′s. I do believe they were separate companies before then. I could be wrong about that. Regardless, the nearest Guitar Center is over three hours away (one way) by car, so it’s not really practical to go to there. I spent A LOT of money over the years at a couple Guitar Centers in Illinois, though.

    And there’s something to be said for your vintage Ampeg. I’m starting to wonder if my old Line 6 amp was an exception to the rule. That thing took some serious abuse, and except for the one time when its battery died, it never gave me any trouble.
