It only took 14 days. But here’s our first song for this year’s RPM Challenge. The simple fact is, I could’ve easily spent another two weeks just tweaking the mix. That being said, I’m proud of how it turned out, and I hope some of y’all out there will enjoy it. This is not the first-ever recording of this song. It was recorded once before by my old band. If you compare the two recordings, you’ll definitely notice some differences.
There’s a lot more I could write about this song. But I think it’s time to let it have some breathing room so I can get on to the next one.

Gah, I love it! That is great. I’ve listened to it 3 times now and I plan to listen to it a lot more. My only regret is that I couldn’t find the lyrics online anywhere. I keep getting a song by Mariah Carey. You and Jen did a spectacular job with this. You really captured the dismal, depressing spirit of the song while still making the song enjoyable to listen to. I believe this is the second song I’ve heard of yours and I can’t wait to hear more in the future.

Thanks, Wesley. I really appreciate your feedback. I will be posting things like song lyrics when I get the “official” site for the band together. In the meantime, I’ll e-mail you a copy of the lyrics.

Nice job, guys, on both of ‘em! You guys have quite the range, jumping from a country/folk feel to almost a punk vibe. I am digging them both. Keep it up! I want more!!

Thanks, Lans. Song number three is in the works right now. Hopefully, we’ll get it out by the end of the month.

Wow! I’m impressed. That really sounds good. It sounds right out of the Juno soundtrack.

Thanks, Nathan! I just added The Moldy Peaches to our “sounds like” list on the band’s MySpace page.
