Rain

Rain can be a rare thing here in central California. Even during the rainy season, precipitation may occur less frequently than we would like. However, we’ve been getting some rain pretty regularly for the last few days. I decided to take the iRiver and the Giant Squid onto the porch and record some ambient rainfall sounds. You’ll hear a screen door slam, some car noises and lots of raindrops. Enjoy. (The battery died on the iRiver before I came back inside, so that’s why the recording fades out.)

This is my fourth podcast for NaPodPoMo 2008.

Your rain sounds gentle and relaxing, Shawno.

You should be one of those people who creates the ambient noise for alarm clocks. What are those people called again?

That’s a great podcast! I always open the window wide when it rains, love the sound of rain, particularly at 3 in the morning. I often think of moving to a warm country where it rarely rains, but I’d miss the London rain. It rains all the time and still I am drawn to this recording.
