I've been using Winkflash for about 3 years now. While their uploading options for Mac use to suck - I've not had ANY problems via their drag-n-drop uploader on Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5 using Firefox 3. I'm curious as to what OS/Browser combo you are using and whether or not the problem is truly on your end. I use their uploader on a G4 Powerbook, a G5 desktop, and an Intel MacMini with no problems at all.

I just think that in my case, the spammer that stalks this site prefers to generate trackbacks instead of comments. I'm just lucky in that way.

As far as I know, it should. However, I have not experienced a lot of trackback spam. Since installing the plugins (I use Akismet, SpamBam and Peter's AntiSpam words) I literally see zero spam comments or trackbacks. Maybe I'm not as popular as your blog, though!

I did add custom words for the CAPTCHA's, Andy. Haven't installed SpamBam yet, though. Do you know if SpamBam helps with trackback spam? I've always had more problems with that than anything else.

And I'm not sure about the Gravatars I used the Gravatar plugin and made only one change to the settings. (Changed image size to 40 from the default 80.) I'll have to do some research later, see if I can figure it out.

I wonder why the gravatars aren't working on your site.

Did you add in your own custom words in the options? Did you install the SpamBam plugin? That will help tremendously, too.

Just testing out the new CAPTCHA plugin. If this gets posted, then that means it worked.

My sister and I print a lot of photos. We use to use Winkflash exclusively but their uploader got worse and worse. To the point where it didn't even work on Windows in Internet Explorer. It just wouldn't take my photos! So when my sister and I print photos we use Kodak Gallery (Ofoto). They have a Mac upload tool which works great. I haven't tried Flickr for printing but their prices seem a bit high.
