There was no Photo Friday last week. As I posted, it was Halo’s fault. But Photo Friday is back (for now).

We recently stopped into Leon’s Bookstore here in SLO. I snapped a few photos of the place as it’s due to close forever at the end of the month. Like many of the older businesses downtown, Leon’s has to close while its building receives an earthquake retrofit. And like many businesses, it won’t be returning after the retrofit is completed.

Construction is omnipresent around here these days. This electronic sign states that our road will be closed from April 18th through May 2nd for construction. (Jen is very frustrated over this closure, as it’ll cause her to have to take an alternate route to work.)

I spotted this lonely shopping cart at the top of a hill while I was out for a walk. It probably belongs to the Goodwill Outlet Store, but it looked rather lost at the time.

This small fruit tree in our “backyard” was there before we moved in. If you look close at the photo, you can see it’s starting to grow tiny pieces of fruit. We think they’re limes.
