Apple also figures people will get scared and want to bring it to the “Genius” bar so they can do it there. Sorry. No thanks. I don’t want some smug Apple guy standing there “Oh yeah, you should have brought it to us in the first place.” Sorry. I hate Apple retail stores. Anyways. Sucks that it wasn’t easy to upgrade, cool that OWC can do it. I just hope it isn’t going to cost too terribly much for them to do it for you. Are you going to wipe the machine/re-install Tiger before you ship it out?
I can’t even get the machine to boot right now…
I’m going to check with the local authorized reseller and see if they can help me before going to OWC. No way in hell I’ll take it to the Apple Store. They’ll have a fit if they see the shape it’s in.
