For as long as we’ve lived here, we’ve had a back “yard.” And that yard hasn’t been good for very much. In fact, it had been left to grow wild and free. It looked like this:
Here’s how it looked from the other side:

This rosebush was removed by someone and transplanted. it was posted on Craigslist:
I began the deforestation process, which exposed parts of this long forgotten porch swing:
A pile of plant matter:
I didn’t get much farther than what you see in these photos. Mercifully, the guys from StoneTech came out and finished the job:
Later, the StoneTech crew came back and dug up all of the tiles and bricks that appear in the above photos. And then on Monday, they returned to finish the patio:
The patio looks awesome, and we’re really excited to be able to use this space. We may put out some planters and patio chairs. I’ll also be cooking out for the first time since we moved here. And here’s some patio leftovers, soon to be posted to the “free” section of Craigslist:

You should get a portable recorder - or extend you cables so you can have outside podcasts.
That’s a good idea, Rowlz. We could actually take the rig outside and record. Might be fun.
Congrats on the new patio. It definitely looks a lot better and I’m sure will be much more enjoyable.
Hey, wow, that looks really nice! Good job!
Shawn- That looks great! I’ve been fixing up our own front yard lately. A friend built a nice deck & we’re trying to get some other stuff. Your “leftovers” would be cool, BUT I don’t know how or when we’d be able to get them. Any ideas?

Rockin the patio! Sweet deal! I love the smaller spaces. What you need now is a Water Feature!
Leesa: We had considered making a fish pond out of a wine barrel. Maybe?
